Tell the DNR to Approve the Line 5 Project

To honor the request of tribal leaders, Enbridge is proposing relocating a 12-mile section of Line 5 from the Bad River Reservation, replacing it with approximately 41 miles of pipe off of the Reservation.  The route was chosen to avoid sensitive areas like Copper Falls State Park and the Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest. Agreements are in place with private landowners on the route.

In order to move forward with the project, the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) must approve permits that Enbridge applied for in February of 2020.

In addition to preserving Line 5’s ability to safely bring energy to Wisconsin families, the project is expected to create 1,000 Wisconsin jobs and $135 million to the Wisconsin economy.
